First of all, we don't want this article to sound like we are talking down to anyone, that is not the case.

But after having been in the cleaning industry for well over 20 years, there are certain things we see year after year that cause people problems - and these can be easily fixed. 

Ok, we admit that sounds a bit self serving, but this Cleaning Resolution for 2022 is a good one.

"Of course you want me to commit to carpet and upholstery cleaning, you want
to make more money!"

Well, that is only partially true. We want you to commit to cleaning your carpets and upholstery more often because it is good for you, your home, and your pocketbook.

Far too often we see clients, or potential clients, wait too long to clean their carpet and upholstery and they either end up shortening the life of the carpet or upholstery, or they end up paying a lot more to have their carpets and upholstery restored than if they had just taken care of the issues
earlier.

And part, a big part, of committing to cleaning your carpets and upholstery is to do some self-maintenance. Don't let things get out of control before you make the decision to call us to clean your carpets and upholstery; that will probably just end up costing you more or, worse yet, causing permanent damage to your carpet and upholstery.

Yes, again this is a bit self serving but REALLY good advice. A good carpet and fabric protector can do wonders for keeping your carpets and upholstery stain free and looking good for a longer period of time.

Commit to a 2022 New Years Resolution of using carpet and fabric protectors; in the end run it saves you a lot more money than you spend having them applied.

There is NOT one single thing you can do on a regular basis for your carpet that is more important than vacuuming. Not one.

A good carpet-vacuuming schedule makes a huge difference in the cleanliness of your carpet, and the overall indoor air quality. Not only those two things, but your carpet is going to last longer at a higher appearance level if you vacuum regularly.

If you have air ducts in your home, or place of business, get them cleaned. Make sure the filters are inspected and changed on a regular basis.

Getting your air ducts cleaned not only saves you money, but it also gives you better air to breathe. Personally, the better air thing is what we consider to be the most important - but saving money is also nice!

While getting your car interior cleaned MIGHT not be as important as getting your carpets and upholstery cleaned in your home - it is still important and should be done on a regular basis.

You can do this yourself, go to a place that offers interior cleaning and detailing, or hire a professional carpet and upholstery cleaning company to do the work.

Many homes now have tile and grout and this should be cleaned on a regular basis. The grout should also be sealed and, depending on the tile, the entire tile and grout floor should be sealed.

This is a big big big one! Not properly cleaning your roof and gutters can lead to huge problems down the road - not only in inconvenience when the roof or gutters do not do their job, but also because of the cost to repair damage, which can be huge.
